ORDERING
How to Order:
For all Island Instruments, a $1000* deposit is required to reserve your spot in the build queue and begin the custom building process. Exceptionally, a $3000 deposit is required for DelAir orders. Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstance.
Once the first deposit is received, your place on the wait list is reserved, along with the current pricing locked in. You will receive an email when I am ready to begin the woodwork on your instrument. At that point, a second deposit of $1000 is required ($3000 for DelAir).
Note: Your instrument does not need to be fully spec’d out at the time of paying the initial deposit. We can continue to correspond and discuss specs up until woodwork begins. At that point, there will be a “last call” for spec changes. Any changes requested after that are subject to extra cost at my discretion.
The balance and shipping costs are due upon completion of the instrument. I accept many methods of payment including Paypal, wire transfer, cheque, and others.
If you would like to establish a payment plan throughout the wait-and-build process, I am happy to do so.
The initial design phase is one of the most exciting parts of the process for me, and likely for you as well. I love to discuss woods, build options, and everything that goes into the instrument and this is generally where the personal connection begins to cement itself. That being said, I am a one-man operation, and responding to your emails comprehensively, in the detail they deserve is time-consuming. I ask that you please be mindful of that time.
It is a privilege for me to get to build your instrument and I look forward to working with you.
